LAURA PASETTI
Artistic Director
“I want to recover a theatrical sense that has been lost. I want it to be primarily educational and a spiritual path, not just entertainment. It can be entertaining, but the aim is for audience and players to go home with the soul richer and nourished. I want a theatre that can raise consciousness, and I want to create this by producing higher quality actors and higher quality product. We need actors who are able to reach beyond their own ego, to be in some ways like monks, preparing to sacrifice everything when preparing a play. There is a higher purpose – awakening consciousness; no actors will do that just for entertainment. Seeing a play performed in a certain way, with authenticity, could really enrich and stimulate people to go home and . . . paint a better picture, cook a better dinner . . . ultimately fill up life with more love.”
MANUEL FRENDA
