Shake Radio is a new and modern way for young students to challenge their English through one of the most fascinating instruments of our time: RADIO!
Shakespeare would have loved to speak through the microphone and this is why we bring him right into your schools and theatres: an hour and a half of “on air” fun where students construct their own radio show introducing the Bard to the listeners. The show, the acting, the sounds, the debate, the mixing, the music and even the logo are all created by the kids with the help of our fantastic radio and theatre experts.

Shake Radio is a language workshop for students from 14 to 19 who are learning English at school. Our actors travel (by train, so very ecological!) directly to your school or theatre with all the equipment and install a temporary radio system in your class or on stage. The class of maximum 20 students are divided into different groups which work on creating the program. Each program is made out of the main show, scenes taken from the major Shakespeare plays, sounds which are created on the scene (even horses!), a debate on the themes involved in the plays, the recording and mixing, music composition (whenever there is a talented musician with the student crew) and a special logo for each class!
All this in just two hours workshop!
The program is then edited and uploaded online for everyone to listen to.

Shake Radio è un modo nuovo e moderno per i giovani studenti per mettere alla prova il loro inglese attraverso uno dei più affascinanti strumenti del nostro tempo: LA RADIO!
A Shakespeare sarebbe piaciuto parlare attraverso il microfono e questo è il motivo per cui entrerà nelle scuole e nei teatri con un’ora e mezza di laboratorio in cui gli studenti costruiscono il proprio programma radiofonico che introduce il Bardo agli ascoltatori. Lo spettacolo, la recitazione, i suoni, il dibattito, la musica e anche il logo sono tutti creati dai ragazzi, con l’aiuto dei nostri esperti radiofonici e teatrali.
Shake Radio è un laboratorio di lingua per gli studenti dai 14 ai 19 anni che stanno imparando l’inglese a scuola. I nostri attori sono disponibili ad allestire direttamente nella scuola o al teatro uno studio radiofonico temporaneo con tutte le attrezzature.
Le classi saranno composte da 20 gli studenti, divisi in diversi gruppi che lavorano sulla creazione del programma. Ogni programma è costruito attorno a un tema principale, le scene affrontate sono tratte dalle più famose opere di Shakespeare, i suoni sono creati sulla scena direttamente dai ragazzi come la registrazione e il mixaggio. Viene sviluppato un dibattito sui temi principali trattati nei drammi, i ragazzi si occuperanno anche di creare i jingles musicali e un logo del programma per ogni classe!
Il programma viene quindi montato e caricato on-line per poter essere ascoltato da tutti.
