PRESENTS A 7 DAY THEATRE LABORATORY ON: THE ROLE OF THE CHORUS IN GREEK COMEDY BASED ON ' LYSISTRATA'

This laboratory is open to both experienced and less experienced participants. Students will be working on the play 'Lysistrata' by Aristophanes. Working as a team, they will explore the important role played by the Chorus in the ancient Greek theatre. They will also learn how to take initiative and express their individual creativity within the group. Improvisation will be used to develop themes from the text, and participants will have the opportunity to deepen their skills in the art of comedy by working with rhythm and characterisation.
